Artists Bio
Jake
Hellbach started his passion (obsession?) for photography in the early 70’s
when his dad built his first photography darkroom in their Gretna, Louisiana
home.
Starting as
many self taught artists, photographing nature and wildlife as well as other
subjects close to his home. Honing his craft and evolving to the more 3
dimenional form of fine art photography on slate that he produces as well as
the more traditional prints on paper.
He has
always loved to photograph historic architecture and especially the
very beautiful angels that adorn the cemeteries of southern United States.
